We’re adding another Title IX Attorney

Nesenoff & Miltenberg, LLP, a highly regarded leader in Title IX, campus sexual misconduct cases, and college disciplinary proceedings defense, is adding another full-time attorney to its nationwide practice representing both complainants and respondents:

  • College students, faculty, and coaches confronting the full gamut of Title IX actions from sexual harassment and assault to workplace discrimination
  • College athletes, teams, and coaches facing inequitable gender-based athletic programming
  • College students charged with serious conduct code violations ranging from racial discrimination to hazing to drug possession

REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of 3 full-time years of experience handling university Title IX and campus sexual misconduct cases, including:
    • Either the private representation of both respondents and complainants, or the schoolwide administration of Title IX procedures and policies
    • Conducting complex investigations
    • Drafting reports throughout all stages of a case from initial findings to sanction appeals
  • A demonstrated passion for working with college students and university personnel
  • A strong commitment to Restorative Justice
  • Exemplary organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent writing skills
  • In place of direct higher-ed Title IX experience, a minimum of 5 years of experience conducting complex investigations, gathering and analyzing evidence, writing reports, participating in hearings and appeal processes in the context of either criminal law or corporate/government entities
  • Federal or state civil litigation experience a plus

After a short in-office orientation period (New Haven, CT), the position can be remote with 2-4 onsite weeks per year.
