ABOUT ADRIENNE LEVY
Adrienne comes to the firm having recently completed her second judicial clerkship for the Honorable Jessica R. Mayer in New Jersey. Adrienne first clerked for Judge Mayer at the trial level, when Judge Mayer was one of four multi-county litigation (mass-tort) judges in the state, and was honored to return to the Judge’s chambers upon her elevation to the Appellate Division in 2017.
Adrienne graduated magna cum laude and Order of the Coif from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she served on the Editorial Board of the Cardozo Law Review and as President of the Cardozo Public Interest Law Students Association.
As a law student, Adrienne interned with Cardozo’s Housing Rights Clinic and Criminal Defense Clinic, and volunteered with the Unemployment Action Center and the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund Pro-Bono Project. She also served as a teaching assistant to Professor Stewart E. Sterk and a research assistant to Professor Richard Bierschbach.
Her student Note, which analyzes the right to counsel under the New York State Constitution, is published in the Cardozo Law Review and was cited with approval in a 2014 criminal court decision. Adrienne is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.
Adrienne brings a wide variety of skills to the firm, each informed by her previous experiences as a public servant and a zealous advocate, and each driven by her passion for justice and equality. Adrienne has represented all manner of clients, from indigent criminal defendants to major corporations, always focusing on the client’s particular needs and an individualized litigation strategy.
After clerking at both the trial and appellate levels, Adrienne is a master at breaking down legal issues and focusing on the arguments that truly decide cases. As an associate at a multi-national law firm, she helped to shut down large-scale insurance fraud rings and unlicensed medical clinics through complex federal RICO actions, successfully navigating the intersection of criminal law, civil law, and insurance regulations.
Adrienne has also served as a court-appointed mediator, helping parties to find common ground and resolve their disputes outside of the courtroom. Adrienne treats every case with the care it deserves, and puts her diverse experience towards a singular goal: justice for her clients.
